‘Kefi’: Greek (κέφι)

‘To experience something positive’

‘To feel joy throughout your whole body and soul’

Hi, i’m Beth.

I founded Kefi Wellness in 2015, as a way to take negative experiences and turn them into something much more positive.

Based in Norwich, UK, I offer online Integrative health coaching and Pilates-inspired classes which combine the ancient tools of Pilates, Yoga and meditation with principles of modern science.

Through my practice, I explore what is best for our bodies, minds and lives, always staying true to the spirit of Kefi.

My philosophy

I’m of the opinion that humans are part of nature and not separate from it. Nature, given the opportunity, has the incredible ability to heal. And so if we are nature, our bodies have the ability to do this, too.

We’ve spent years using the Earth as a commodity and we treat our bodies in the same way, expecting them to show up for us day in, day out, without giving them the respect they need. But our bodies are our allies, and I believe we owe them the space to regenerate, be well and thrive, instead of simply keeping up with our demands.

My approach

As an integrative health coach, I explore how complementary practices can be used in combination to improve wellbeing. By teaching ancient disciplines that are informed by modern science, I draw on a range of tools to help you move towards balance in your practice and in your daily life

My training

Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP)

Meditation teacher (YTT)

Mat Pilates & Reformer (Level 3)

200hr Yoga Teacher (YTT)

Massage Therapist (ITEC)

My background

I was raised in the countryside, where I gained insight into nature’s perfectly balanced ecosystem. My mother - also a Pilates teacher - always encouraged me to be curious about the things I couldn’t see, and to ask, ‘why?’.

I spent my late teens and early twenties in a constant cycle of burnout, troubled by anxieties caused both by big life events and a lack of self-care. Driven to ‘prove something’, I pushed by body to its limits, leading to anxiety attacks and illness.

But then I started asking, ‘why?’. I figured if I could understand why my body was behaving in the ways it was, then I could escape the debilitating effect it had over me.

The more I understood ‘why?’ the less the attacks happened. I also took a career change and re-trained as a Pilates teacher and massage therapist, so I could delve deep into anatomy, the power of breath and the body’s ability to transform, heal and find balance. I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training to extend my ability to tap into mind-body connections and spirituality, and promote a balanced lifestyle to others.

Led by my unending curiosity, I wanted to see the science that explained the benefits of these ancient practices. As a certified Integrative health coach, my practice combines Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine with naturopathy and modern Orthomolecular and Functional Medicine. To me, this blend of science and holistic wellbeing is a perfect way to help others uncover their own ‘why?’ and find balance and happiness.
